I have a NH tc33. It's about 60" wide (R4 tires). I'm looking into a 3 pt. back blade for mild dirt work, driveway maintainance and pushing snow around (live in Michigan). I'm thinking of either a Woods or Land Pride but can't decide which size I want or should have. Both offset which is nice (extra reach for pushing snow) and both seem to be of comparable construction. So the choice for me mostly comes down to price and size as I have the brands narrowed down. Questions : Can I spin a 84" blade around while mounted? I think I can with the six footer, but not sure on the seven? Having more width seems logical, but I don't want to have too long of a "lever" for bending something if it hooks an object while plowing snow either. Will the 72" blade cover my tracks while angled? Not really interested in the tilt/ditching use, just to help with landscaping and snow/driveway grading.

I use a 7' blade on my TC45A and I can spin it around when mounted. I have my rear tires out to their max 75"?? due to living in hill country and it covers my tracks.

Like you I use mine for snow plowing. I have ag tires and in 4 wdrive a decent snow will stop the tractor dead in it's tracks..it just can't pull that 7" blade. Tires just spin. I have to pick up the blade and move the snow in layers.

I would probably go with a 6 footer if i was you as you will still cover your tracks. 7" are sometimes too wide when you just want to move a small confined area such as under a barn overhang etc.

I believe your tractor is closer to 55" wide. I run a 72" box blade with mine and it will stop the tractor and spin the tires on a big bite.

I have both a 72" and 84" and have no problem turning either. The 84" is a much heavier duty blade and sits further back therefore giving me the extra clearance. I cannot flip the blade with it fully raised - then it will hit the tire. I have to set it just above ground level to get the clearance. I live in Northern MN - it is nice to have a light snowfall so the snow buildup under the blade/tractor isn't a problem, but in winters like last year it sure was important to have the ability to flip the blade and run in reverse. When I traded up to this tractor it had been used at the dealer's lot with a front blower (Northern WI with their lake effect snow). It was tempting to add it to my package but my wife was already to veto the whole deal.
