I have tried the Locktite but have had issues with it,end up tossing most of the can after it decides it would rather be in the can resting than outside working!
I have had good luck with pc7 epoxy, been using it for years :PC-7 Heavy Duty Paste Epoxies PC7 PC-Products

I believe the Loctite Powergrab you have, is water based that's why you have to wait for warmer temps.

I used it once on a big job where I needed a white adhesive.

I would not use it for your project.

I would use Liquid Nails regular, or Heavy Duty Urethane version, or PL400.

Yeah, Scotty, I'm scared of super glue for that reason. And I'm afraid these guys may be right about Loctite not being the right thing, but as much as I paid for it, I've got to try it.:D However, I bought it too late. That north wind yesterday brought in a cold front so no telling when it'll be warm enough again. But there's no hurry since I do have the house numbers in smaller numbers on a wooden background on top of the bricks.

The temperature was down to 23 last night, but forecast to go to 62 today and only 33 tonight. I probably should have waited, but I wanted to get the job done and out of the way, so when it hit 55 degrees this afternoon, I found the brick on the south side (in the sun) to feel quite warm, but I have some doubts as to whether the brick on the north side got to 50. Anyway, I stuck the new reflective plastic numbers on there. It shouldn't take much to hold them because they're so light weight. And the Loctite Power Grab adhesive dispensed very smoothly. So now we just have to see whether it holds.:)

Well, Jeff (jdbower) said, "Let us know how you like the Loctite, I hadn't heard that they had an adhesive like that but I'm sure it will be a welcome addition to their product family."

I put those numbers on the bricks a week ago today, and made two stupid mistakes. You can see the results in the first photo. See if you know what those mistakes were. Maybe it'll keep someone else from making the same dumb mistakes.

The second photo is what I did today to compensate for the mistakes, instead of removing the mistakes and starting over.:D

As for the Loctite adhesive, I don't think it's as good as Liquid Nails; however, it dispensed smoothly and was applied easily, it's white to start with and it dries to a very hard white color. It holds pretty well, but I did pry one number off today just to see how much force it would take and while it's plenty strong for what I used it for, I don't think it's the strongest adhesive I ever used. And of course, I put it back with the same adhesive and after the tube sat for a week, it still dispensed just as smoothly as before. I really like that part.

Off center and not a good color contrast? The second set looks much better.:)

Jim, I didn't really mind being off center because those are reflective numbers and I wanted headlights to hit them at night. But yep, the first stupid mistake was the lack of color contrast. From a hundred feet away you can't even see those numbers. And the other big mistake is that they're too high. You don't have the light reflected off the numbers unless your headlights are on high beam.
