I have been looking at several different box blades and saw more than I can even think about however one equipment manufacturer that stands out is EA. of course pretty pricey maybe but certainly not too bad I suppose. Guess when I stepped up over 60HP things seem to be much more expensive and I get it for sure. Anyway, any other suggestions on Manufacturers would be great. I saw some that are of course less expensive (really didn't want to say "cheap" and won't use names) however they are not what I would consider a "lifetime piece" by any means and the last thing I want to do is through away good money. Like I said any suggestions will be certainly considered.

Thanks All! (I accidentally posted this in the new member hello page)

You should get nothing at 7' wide under 1000lbs, and 1100-1200lb would be just that much better. Hydraulic actuated rippers would be a huge item to also have. Just keep in mind that you are looking in the $3000-$4000 range. The old standby would be a Gannon. There are others and every bit as good, just need to look.

Any attachment that you want to be able to hold up behind your tractor is going to cost more than an average implement that works fine behind a 40-60hp machine.

Good luck with your search. ;)

Looks like the EA box blade (1025lb.) you might want is $2633.
I have two EA products.
Their products all seem to be excellent.

I got a Deere box blade. Frontier I guess....They offered 2 for that size and class that I was wanting. The one I chose was made by King Kutter so I was told. Looks exactly the same as the KK but green so I tend to believe. I was debating on pro with the back hinge vs. the standard model and I got the standard. I figured I could always sell/upgrade if needed/wasn't strong enough. So, in hindsight, I wish I would have gone for the pro version. More weight. Back is hinged. As MtnVeiewRanch said, hydro rippers would be ideal, but get spendy in a big hurry. If it's constant use with those, cost may be worth it. Not justifiable for me. Weight and thicker metal are your friend, regardless of brand.

I'll share a few words on the subject..

The Everything Attachments Box Blade lineup has expanded quite a bit over the past few years. More goes into our box blades than meets the eye, substantially more if you really take a close look.
The side plates, hitch and other components are tabbed by the laser. Benefits include precise, uniform assembly and extra, Xtreme durability compared to something that is only welded. The edges are also smooth and rounded rather than sharp and jagged like many economy models.
The side plates normally reflect the age and use/abuse of a box blade. To minimize that wear and increase the life span, we weld extra plates of steel to the front leading edges.
Our hitches, from the lightest to the heaviest, are all solid welded. Yes, it's easy to stack and cheaper to ship a square box with no hitch sticking up in the way, but we feel that a solid welded hitch provides more rigidity and durability.
All EA box blades have horseshoe shaped plates welded behind the bottom of the ripper shanks to strengthen the tube and prevent piercing. Models above the 30-70 feature shanks that are mounted behind the tube, again for Xtreme Durability!
The minimum grade of steel found in our factory is A572 Grade 50, which has a higher tensile strength, shear strength and yield strength than most commonly used A36.
Just a few things that we do to provide you the most for your money; more than you'd think! We've been using US cutting edges since the start!

You have stepped up to Class 2 implements. This can be a great improvement in productivity. It will, surely, be a large jump in price.

With any land engagement implement - weight is your friend. Along with the purchase of a box blade - consider a hydraulic top link.

The hydraulic top link will improve productivity and greatly reduce the learning curve.
