I am trying to determine if there is a quality difference in quick hitches such as the 89.00 harbor freight item and say a seeco from t/s/c. I also have seen the one from northern for 159.00 and it looks just like the harbor freight one. I would rather spen a little more and get one that will hold up. Can anyone give me any help is one better than another?.

I bought and use the one from Harbor Freight and love it.... watch their ads and you can get a coupon easy enough... One problem I have is that you should see about getting the so-called adapter that is not included with the unit... I've had some problems connecting some of my equipment... Difficult to explain but there's not really a place to connect the top of some 3pt equipment... poor description of the problem but, it's early...
This evening, when I get back to the ranch, I intend to call the 800 number and see if I can buy the adapter directly from the mfg... It would probably be easy enough to make the adapter but I'm short on time.. Good luck.

I have had the harbor freight one for about 3 years now and no complaints. it does what it's supposed to and makes life alot easier. i'm sure not the best built but does work.

I went through the same process and bought the harbour freight one with the top adapter (you have to mail order it from HF for about 9 bucks). The speeco one I looked at comes with the adaptor and bushings but after all was said and done looked about the same for twice the price. You can buy the speeco bushings or just buy some cat1 to cat 2 bushings. If you search on here for HF hitch you will find the adapter number and some slight mods that have been made to make the hitch a little more user friendly (you would have to do the same with the speeco I think). Make sure you get the 27 1/2 inch I.D. hitch --JMHO

I've research this too. That's why I've got Pat's Easy Change. Wouldn't do without it. Very fast and fits great.

The problem with some other quick changes is you have to modify the attachments. And some attachments won't even fit/work with some of those other systems.

Pat's is a sponsor here at TBN. Check it out on the STORE tab above.

I just bought the HF quick hitch a few days ago- was on sale for $79- then used the 20% coupon= $63 total. Haven't used it yet, but quality looks decent. I'll probably use it as a log skidder this spring and if it breaks, they said I can return it. Can't beat that. I don't know how they do it.

I purchased the Speedco just because it was close. But looking at the HF unit it looks like the same unit. The Speedco comes with the extra toplink adapter.

I think the delta quick hitch is probably the best but is the most expensive.

I bought the HF one to try it out first and it works fine.
Was told that it wouldn't work with a JD bush hog...but it does.

I got this one for $56.99 after it was on sale and i had a 20% off coupon.
