Say I find a tractor that isn't "standard", a Jinma, Mitsubishi, Zen-Noh, etc. Where do I get it fixed?

I can do routine maintenance, but major work I'd have to take it somewhere. Am I supposed to drag it 250 miles back to where I bought it? The closest dealers for these type tractors so far seem to be Valdosta GA and Birmingham AL...WOW!...a LONG way away...

The local dealers pretty much laugh when you mention a Chinese tractor so I don't think they'd be much help.

BTW, anyone know of any "alternative" dealers in the SE Alabama area?

Hi Joe: Yeh one of the problems so far is that there isn't a dealer close by for most of us..Maybe if we could afford the big three machines we could rely on them..However most of us thought saving large amounts of money was worth that chance. and most of us have had little (major) problems.I feel these are like our cars were back in the 60's no high tech anything. I used to do all my own car repairs but like now the cars are wayyyy different..but the tractors are not. We have talked many tractor owners thru repairs by this forum.
But like I've told others,,If you can afford the big three makes.Buy em.If your like us who would not have a machine if it wasn't so reasonable. Heck the dealer I bought my Jinma from was in Florida. I'm in N.Y.State. I guess it boils down to how mechanical you feel you are and if you know any "Local" farmers who are mechanical.
Let the local dealers laugh..their probable driving foreign cars

Hey Joe /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Joe, this is the Chinese Section. Jinma, Foton, Kama, Shinniu, etc are Chinese. Mitsubishi, Zen-Noh are Japanese, I think, but if I am correct, they are not Chinese.

As for Dragging your Tractor. Please don't do it, as the dealer would just walk out with a camera, take a picture, and accuse you of abusing your tractor and cancel any warranty that you might have. Use a Trailer to transport your New Tractor!

We all have recommended that you get a bigger trailer than your 4X8. A 2 axle 16 footer would be a good starting trailer.

As far as repair work. During the warranty period, you should be willing to work with your dealer. My Dealer can and does allow his mechanic to come to my place to make repairs, and if they are extensive, then they or I can transport the tractor to their shop for repairs. After the warranty period, then any competent Diesel Mechanic should be able to repair your tractor, if you choose to go that route.

Get your tractors running &
Have a nice day,

joerocker, You will better off looking for a Independent tractor machanic/shop than a Dealer of different color.

Most tractors mechanics don't know the name Jinma...but after they see how easy it is to work on...... it is seen in a different light.
