Where to buy Woods SG100 Stump Grinder Teeth

Other than Woods Equipment dealers, where can I find replacement teeth for my SG100 stump grinder that don't cost almost $40 each?

These things should cost way less than what Woods wants. I've looked at several websites that sell to forest & arborist industries and haven't found anything. One site had a photo of a tooth that looked identical to what I need, but said (in bold red letters) "...won't fit Woods machines."

Someone surely sells these threaded teeth for just a few dollars.

Where do you get yours?

I bought a few spares from Global as posted above. I now have over 550 stumps ground down.....and my teeth still cut like new. I have heard of some guys losing teeth due to nuts coming off....but have not heard of anyone replaceing due to normal wear.

Have you worn any out....or do you need to replace any? Kinda wondering how long my teeth will last. Would like someone to report on when replacement may be needed (hours or number of stumps...etc). My insticts tell me I will get over 1000 pine stumps out of the original teeth. At least that is my hope.

My machine is a 2008 Woods SG100.

I have not found a source other than Woods and they want, depending on the dealer, between $40 to $48 per tooth. And that is completely unreasonable.

I really need to find a good source for these teeth.

Hmmmm....not familiar with that model. Didnt know Woods made such a model. Is that a higher HP model? The model number I have is an TSG-50

You may want to call Global and talk with them. I think they are knowledgeable on Sandvik teeth and Woods....from what another TBN member told me.

I agree with you.....Woods prices for replacement teeth is a bit excessive IMO.

I didn't see your post before my last post.

Tompet kindly gave me the reference to Global. I looked at the teeth (part no. 0450121) on their website and they have a rounded, globe-like shape just above the threads. My teeth don't have that.

My SG100 is a 2008 model, what year is your machine? Is it the same model?

I bought it used and it has the original teeth which are pretty well shot.

Are the "Global" teeth, as shown on their website, a working replacement? Are they different from the teeth that originally came on your machine?

If you'll send me your email address I'll send you a photograph of one of my machine's teeth.

My SG100 is for 50-100hp tractors. I'm running it on a 95hp tractor. The cutter wheel is 34" and it holds 26 teeth.

You have a larger machine than I am familiar with. But......I did allot of web-surfing on replacement teeth. As said.....I would give Global a call and talk with them about replacement teeth. Do you have a sandvik wheel? If so....I think Global can help you.

I don't know if the wheel is Sandvic or not. I presume it is since it's OEM. I'll call Global on Monday and see what they say.

I found the teeth at discountstumpgrinder.com for $7.35/ea., plus $0.70/for the nut.

They shipped via USPS the same day.
