So my log splitter is leaking at the end seal on the hydraulic pump. Looks like the factory did a sloppy job installing the coupler that mates with the motor, and the coupler shaft key was rubbing against the shaft end seal on the pump. Finally wore through and I lost hydraulic power yesterday due to aerated fluid, and saw a puddle on the floor this morning. Had to take pump and hoses off to diagnose the problem.
Here's a pic of the seal and the offending key:

The manufacturer doesn't sell the seal separately, so I'd need to spend $120 for a new pump. Anybody know where I could maybe locate a replacement shaft seal? It's got to be a $5-10 part at most.
The seal fits over a 1/2" shaft, and looks to press inside a 1-1/16 to 1-1/8" race, although I need to get calipers out to my barn to measure that measurement accurately. The seal is about 1/4" thick. Seal was held in place with a cir-clip.
I figure this seal is probably a standard part but I haven't seen anything online.
BTW, I have an e-mail into the manufacturer to see if they have a way to get the seal, or maybe comp me a new pump if that is the only solution. Log splitter is less than 3 years old and this is clearly an assembly defect.
