i have a 16" but i want a 9" and a 24" as well

We are doing a pond and i want to dig faster, will the BH77 handle a 24" bucket in firm dirt?

Any Kubota dealer should be able to order them for you I would think ....

Depends ....

How big of a pond are you digging ?

Try USA Attachments, does the hoe have a quick disconnect?

There is no quick attach available for the BH77 hoe - at least not that I know of.

The BT820 hoe on the B26 and the BH77 hoe are very similar in size and even share some components - but there are some differences on the bucket end of the dipperstick
so they are not an exact 1 to 1 parts swap.

I started a couple of threads trying to narrow down the differences if you want to look:

The major difference between the buckets on the BT820 hoe on the B26 and the BH77 hoe is that the pins on the BT820 hoe buckets are about 2" further apart.

I've done some experimenting with the dimensions provided by some of the B26 users and I made a scale model of the components and moved them thru the range of motion and I can't find any inherent reason why a BT820 bucket would not work on a BH77 hoe - so I went ahead and ordered the quick attach piece from the BT820 hoe (from Messick's) - and when I get it in I'm going to install it on my BH77 and carefully run it thru the range of motion and see if there are any issues.

If it works - then that would would make it possible to use the quick attach buckets from a BT820 - on a BH77 backhoe. I've looked at the pricing for the quick attach buckets for the BT820 - and they cost less money than the direct pin on buckets for the BH77, so - going the the quick attach route will cost more money for the adapter ( it's like $189.00 or so from Messicks) - but you will save a little bit on each bucket you buy. If you were to buy three BH77 buckets - and three BT820 QA buckets - and the adapter - I think you'd probably come out just about even $$ wise - plus you would have QA ability.

I can't remember what sized buckets were available for the BT820 exactly - but I think it was like 12", 18" and 24". You can look them up by going to the Kubota parts site - and finding the parts diagrams, they are listed there ( I could find it and post the part numbers if that helps) - or - they might be listed on the Messicks online ordering site, I can't remember.

If I remember correctly there is a 10" bucket, a 16" (that's what I have) - and a 24" bucket available for the BH77

I am pursuing the investigation on whether the BT820 quick attach bucket can be used on the BH77 - when I start getting some more info I was going to start a "How To" thread and post the results. I will let you know.

Here's the bucket information I can dig up. The part numbers come from the Kubota parts site. I tried referencing them for pricing on the Messicks site - but wasn't too successful.

BT820 pin on buckets

12 inch PN# 7K523-42201 - (no pricing found on Messicks)

18 inch PN# 7K523-42701 -

24 inch PN# 7K523-42401

BT820 quick attach buckets

12 inch PN# 7K523-82201

18 inch PN# 7K523-82701

24 inch PN# 7K523-82401

BH77 pin on buckets

10 inch PN# 75590-42101 - also called BT1950A (no pricing found on Messicks)

12 inch PN# 75590-42201 - also called BT1951A (no pricing found on Messicks)

16 inch PN# 75590-42301 - also called BT1952A (no pricing found on Messicks)

24 inch PN# 75590-42401 - also called BT1953A (no pricing found on Messicks)

I don't remember now where I saw the pricing on the BH77 bucket vs the BT820 buckets - I think I might have gone thru the Kubota configurator a few times and added different options in to see what they came up as on the pricing output.

You can pull pricing (of a sort) - from the Kubota configurator.

If I build a B26 - the pricing comes out like so.

Add the quick coupler to the backhoe: $350 - just as a comparison , I just ordered the quick coupler from Messicks and it was like $189 or something like that.

12" bucket for quick coupler: $590.00

18" bucket for quick coupler: $778.00

24" bucket for quick coupler: $923.00

If I build a B3200 with the BH77 backhoe - pricing comes out like this:

10" bucket (pin on): $415.00

12" bucket (pin on): $491.00

16" bucket (pin on): $648.00

The Kubota configurator does not list a 24" pin on bucket any more - but the Kubota parts listings on the Kubota site does have a part listed (see my above post)

Looking at these prices - I'm not sure why I thought the QA buckets were less than the direct pin on, but I know I saw some pricing somewhere that showed the QA buckets as being less money.

So did the quick attach work on the BH 77????

Sorry for the slow response - it took me a while to weed thru my email before I saw the alert about your post.

Unfortunately - No. The quick attach from the BT820 hoe on the B26 doesn't fit on the BH77. I actually bought one of the BT820 quick attaches to see if it would - and it doesn't. One of my backburner projects is to see if I can make one - but unfortunately there's a bunch of other stuff in line before I can get to it. Last year I found a 12" bucket on Craigslist for good money , bought a ripper tooth from Michigan Iron - and right now I'm on the trail of a 24" bucket.

Turns out the same buckets that get used on the BH77 were also used on a number of other Kubota hoes. The hoe from the B21 being the most popular one.

WHen I bought my tractor with BH92 I didn't really consider the QA hoe bucket option, but now wish I had gotten it. Having two widths would be nice, especially with a fast change-over.
