where to buy 60 AMP alternator for L4330 Kubota?

Hello everyone - I am in need of a 60 amp alternator for my L4330 which is the alternator that Kubota installed when a cab was ordered with the tractor. Mine has the non cab 45 amp alternator. Reason why I need it is that with my heater on and the tractor no rev'd up past 2200 rpm, I am actually draining the battery.

If I can find a reasonable priced 60 amp alternator, that would be great, otherwise I can invest in LED tail lights which the current non LEDs draw 2 amps a piece or simply learn to turn off the heater 10 mins before I am done snow blowing with the tractor.
Other option would be a smaller ALT pulley to put on my 45 amp therefore speed up the alternator and charge while I am around the 2200 RPM range.

If anyone can help provide a source for an alternator that is reasonably priced, that would be great.
I do not want to go to the dealership and pay $450 for a 60 amp alternator.

We have alternator/starter rebuild shop here in town.. every time I use them it was cheaper than a new one.. plus I have never had to take one back.. Check and see if you have one locally.. Lou

I would try and make s bracket and install a modern car alt. Heck being a tightwad, I'd get one from the junk yard for 20-40 bucks.

Does anyone know where I could get a smaller pulley for the alternator? That would be another idea to keep the same ALT but enable the higher amp output at lower RPM.

Me too. Have starter and alternator work done at a good local shop, DC Energy in El Dorado Hills, Ca. George does great work, and can customize to fit your needs.

Before $450 for the Kubota alternator, I would try a local alternator/starter shop. Then I would consider GM; many are 100A+, single wire, for a whole lot less. Also, there is are customs made for off-roaders who use winches and big lights a lot. Couple examples:

There won't be any real improvement with smaller pulley on an alternator like with a genny.
