Where have I been boys, 4105 with a 300CX loader??

I friend on my woodworking forum just mentioned he owns a 4105 and it has the 300CX loader?? I am behind in teh tractor info world. What do you guys know about this tractor? Anyone here own one yet?

I have been into the woodshop toys recently and not been on this board much.

Briefly check out the Deere specs and it looks like the same 3000 series wheelbase, no mid pto option, 40.4hp Yanmar, and no Motion or Load Match listed.

What is the target market for this new tractor. He seems to like his! I am trying to get pictures.

Do a search...it replaced the 990 due to emission requirements.

Good to hear from you. I, too, with a new job change and family requirements have not been posting as much. The 4105 is basically a rebadged 990 with some frame and feature changes. It is a solid tractor for those who need a larger frame (though slight) and more HP in an economical package. They do--to me--have a good look to them. They also are competitively priced and in my mind are geared to those who want HP but might be on a tight budget (or just nicely frugal) or to those who like the classically-styled more rudimentary tractor that is a workhorse. I, too, have a friend who recently bought one and he just loves it. That said, he did not want to drive any of JD's ehydro machines for fear of getting "spoiled".

I could be very wrong here, but I *think* the 4005 is the newly rebadged 990. I thought the 4105 is in the feature tractor series.

You are right in that statement. I saw a 4105, and a 4005 side by side last week. The 4005 is pretty much identical to the 990, just as the 3005 is nearly identical to the 790. The 4105 looks pretty good to me for someone who needs the pto hp in a small package, and is happy with the standard hydro setup.
