Where can I get Broken BX Axel Shafts?

Looking for a couple broken axel shafts for a BX25. Probably several other Kubota's have the same wheel pattern also. All I plan to use is the wheel flange part to build some wheel base extenders. That way I do not have to be meticulous getting the bolt holes placed and threaded on the wheel side. I'll use nuts and bolts on the existing flange so line up is not as critical and I'll have the scrap flanges for a pattern. I will just weld a 4" piece of XH pipe between the two flanges to build the extenders.

My dealer's shop does not save that stuff and changing the axels is not a common job they see a lot of. You guys out there ask around when you are at dealers shops.

5 on 4 1/2" is the pattern i found according to "the tracks company"

I'd just look up some plates and skip the broken shafts

can also look for these in junk yards, should be pretty cheap to pull the rear axles and build from them too

Ford Rangers up to the mid 2000's
Ford Crown vic and mercury marquis old through to 96 or so
Ford Mustangs 94 and up
Dodge Dakota 8-90
Dodge 2wd 1/2ton truck and van and ramchargers 71-85 (could be a mix depends on axles used)
Chrysler full size cars 68-87 or so

and likely a few more

Jeep Wrangler TJ 97-06 have 5 on 4.5 bolt spacing and are notorious for breaking axles too.

I wouldnt' bother looking for them broken. You should be able to pick up axles from the list that Crash had fairly inexpensively. Heck...pick up a set of wheels while you're at it. Maybe a set of dodge truck wheels on the 'bota. lol

Crash gave a good advice for the rears. it might be something you can work with. I doubt you would see ANY broken BX rear axles.

Thanks all, especially Crash. I will see about those matches. Are you all sure Kubota uses a standard wheel bolt hole pattern?

I am not sure but you can take a few measurements to be sure, took me quite a while to dig up that pattern info

On a 5 lug pattern start at the center of one stud, skip a stud and mesure to the next center. add 1/4 inch that is you bolt pattern. Example if you mesure a 5 lug chevy you will get a mesurment of 4and 1/2 inch from center of stud. Add 1/4 inch for 5 on 4 and 3/4 inch.... This only applys to SAE patterns. Metric is alittle different.
