Tractor
L3430
I just got my L3430 with L723 and BH90, my sales person says it weighs 4800, I just looked in the manuals, the tractor weighs 3305 lbs. the loader 1058, the bh 90 manual doesnt say. Its already at 4323 lbs according to the manuals and doesnt include the BH90. I am concerned because the trailer I bought is rated at 7000 lb. GVW and it weighs 1800 lbs, so I only have 5200 total capacity. Any ideas on where to find out?

call Kubota and ask them...... I think that is about the only way that you will get an accurate answer. They can tell you the shipping weight because they have to give it to the truckers when they ship these things for billing purposes. I don't know why the literature doesn't ever mention the weight of the hoe, but every piece of literature that I have looked at seems to omit this figure.....

I don't have the weight of the BH90, but have been shopping for a non-Kub hoe for my tractor. The Woods 9000 is about 1,400 lbs and the Bradco 509 is close to 1,600 lbs. Those units are comparable to the BH90, so you might figure the BH90 will weigh in that same ballpark.

Just my opinion, but even without the hoe, your tractor is pretty big for a 7,000 lb rated trailer. You might use it for occasional short hauls, but for any long trips or regular use, you need something larger.

Well my L3130 with FEL and Woods 9000 BH comes in at about #5500. My Trailer is #7000 GVW and the trailer wieghs aprox #2000. Thats #500 over wieght on the trailer. I've only pulled it a couple times with the BH and the trailer handles it ok.

I would get a heavier trailer if I had to haul it on a regular basis. Make sure your tires can take the wieght as well.

I had the trailer for years before buying the tractor. Since you know your buying a tractor and a trailer GET THE HEAVIER TRAILER!!! You'll be glad later on.
