I am impressed with my LS. The dealer I bought it from went under - they were a split off from an old dealer that retired. Forturnately another small dealer picked them up. So far they have been great. The next closest dealer after them is about 100 miles.

I don't have any answers for you ---- I'm guessing that the demand hasn't yet grown to the point where dealers can make money on the brand. Therefore, they're fewer and farther between --- get your friends to buy a tractor and the dealer network will expand. My dealer is 100 miles away --------- no free delivery for me.

Oh, I would bet if you bought a tractor, they would deliver it for free. My dealer went 60 miles north of his dealershipto another dealer picked up my 7010C and brought it to me which was 65 miles southwest of his dealership for the same quoted price that the other dealer listed without discussion on delivery. The problem is when you have to take it back (if ever) for service and in my case I dont have a trailer that will haul my 8000+ pound tractor and would cost me $200 each way.

I had to have the steering valve replaced under warranty on my R4047. It took 3 days for my local dealer to have the part from LS.

Not many dealers stock parts to any great extent or any other business for that matter. Just about everything you need now comes from a central warehousing and distribution network. Unless there is an item that wears out continually and needs quick replacement, you wont find in on the shelf. With 1, 2 or 3 day delivery available from just about anywhere in the USA now, businesses just dont tie up thier money in high dollar inventory. Sure they keep light bulbs, belts, oil and filters ,etc but ask for a high dollar seldom needed part like AC compressor, Alternator etc and you will seldom find it till tomorrow. You can usually get these items delivered directly to your door with a phone call and credit card number to your dealer if you do the repair yourself. If he has to come get the tractor, you can expect at least a week for minor and maybe a couple days prior to even picking it up, then he has to work it in to his mechanics schedule then find out what is needed, order it overnight or what ever is cheaper for him on freight and you get your tractor back whenever they get a round to it especially on warranty work as the dont make any money on those repairs.

Small world. I had a Marine buddy from Pikeville. Still in NC last I had heard though.

LS' dealer locator has always been buggy. I see they have made a few changes but they are still using the same "xtremelocator" people. From what I can tell they do seem to have a gap in dealer coverage. I would have thought they'd have a dealer in Chatanooga. Might want to try calling LS and asking them in case a dealer isn't coming up on the locator.

LS Office: 252-984-0700

Also, I did find one in Jasper, Ga that was closer than what came up on the locator search:
Name Goss Equipment Co.
Address 76 Philadelphia Lane
Jasper, GA 30143
Phone 706-253-4677

Welcome to the site by the way!

As for parts, if it isn't a warranty situation then I'd order it over the phone with the dealer of your choice and have it shipped.
