Not many dealers stock parts to any great extent or any other business for that matter. Just about everything you need now comes from a central warehousing and distribution network. Unless there is an item that wears out continually and needs quick replacement, you wont find in on the shelf. With 1, 2 or 3 day delivery available from just about anywhere in the USA now, businesses just dont tie up thier money in high dollar inventory. Sure they keep light bulbs, belts, oil and filters ,etc but ask for a high dollar seldom needed part like AC compressor, Alternator etc and you will seldom find it till tomorrow. You can usually get these items delivered directly to your door with a phone call and credit card number to your dealer if you do the repair yourself. If he has to come get the tractor, you can expect at least a week for minor and maybe a couple days prior to even picking it up, then he has to work it in to his mechanics schedule then find out what is needed, order it overnight or what ever is cheaper for him on freight and you get your tractor back whenever they get a round to it especially on warranty work as the dont make any money on those repairs.
