Ya know, I noticed when we got the PT up on the dolly that if you spun the right rear wheel, the left rear wheel spun the opposite direction. Can you say "fluid differential"?

I'm trying to remember back to a previous discussion of this. Didn't we finally decide that the 2 rear wheels are plumbed in parallel, the front 2 are plumbed in parallel, then the front and back are plumbed in series? Or did I get this backwards?

Dave: I think you're right. If the rears are in parallel and you turn one, it will act as a pump. It will put pressure to the other side, but tend to turn it the opposite direction. If you draw a conceptual diagram, when both "front" ports have pressure from the main pump, fuid flows into both. When one of the wheels is the pump, fluid will still flow in the "front" port when the wheel is turned forward, but fluid will flow out of the "front" port on the other side, so the wheel will turn in reverse. It is in fact a fluid differential.
