Wheel Motor Cross Reference?

Does anyone know the cross-reference # for the PT425 front wheel motor, with parking brake? It is different than the rear wheel motor which is White # 400230W3122AAAAA. I called Central Hydraulic and without the White # they cannot help. This is the newer White wheel motor, circa 2003 - 2004, with more torque, the White CE series 400 motors. Thanks.

The parking brake is a flange on the wheel hub, not a part of the wheel motor. The front and rear wheel motors are the same.

Thanks KentT. I guess I will have to wipe some more oil off of the motor and give it a better look when I get home this evening. I would have swore that it was a different motor.

Well, I may have spoken too soon, but I don't think so. My older model 425 had the same White RS series motors on all four wheels. I don't know why they'd change that practice when they went to the White CE series motors, since Tazewell typically takes the simplest approach to everything, it seems...

I've changed 3 of my 4 and each time the standard $150 wheel motor would not fit and I had to get it from Pt at $500+

The parts manual for my Dec 2010 PT-425 has the same part number for all four wheel motors. So, I assume front and rear are the same, at least on the newer models.

The wheel motors would have to be the same displacement plus additional components for brakes.

The brakes on the PT425 front wheel motors are external and all it is is a slotted disk for a pin to engage when parked. I have a picture here somewhere.

Here's a cut and paste of a post I made back in 2007 regarding the wheel motors on my 2001 PT425. The last three, in particular, show the parking brake and pin arrangement....

As requested, here are some pictures of my left, front wheel motor mount area on our 2001 model year PT425 with the old style wheel motors...

All of the steel for the motor mount appears to be 1/4" thick.

1. Depth of motor mount box is 6.25".
2. Width of motor mount box is 8.5".
3. Height of motor mount box is 4" and is flush with bottom of skid plate.
4. Shows the hole for the rear of the wheel motor and the hoses. The wheel motor box appears to be centered on the hole, 2.25" from either side.
5. That makes it 4" wide.
6. And 6.75" high.
7. Looking down, shows wheel motor, parking brake pin with locking spring at the bottom, and wheel hub with notches for parking brake pin.

9. Closeup of engaged parking brake pin.
