What\'s wrong with these E-bay ads?

Something just doesn't seem right with these e-bay ads:

Shortened Long Link

A 2003 L3410 with 63 hours for $3500?

&

Shortened Long Link

A 2004 L4330 for only $3500?

Both sellers have alot of feedback but can't be reached through e-bay, both request preapproval of bidders?

Something smells fishy.

MikePA: Cleaned up long URL. Please review your message before posting it. It's simple not to do this. Just insert a descriptive word or two between the {url=http://whatever}Enter words here{/url} instead of the entire URL. Replace parentheses {} with square brackets in previous example.

Alternatively, if you use the Instant Markup language URL link, the first prompt is for the URL. The second prompt is for a description. Do not simply paste in the URL again. Type a short description of the link.

I figured as much. After you e-mail to be preapproved to bid they'll probably want a credit card number. A fool and his money are soon parted.

welcome to why Eaby is going down the tubes.

As I have stated before, there is a sucker signed up every minute to be taken for a ride!

I have been selling out there since 1997 and in the last 2 to 3 years, the morons are unreal.

Re: What\'s wrong with these E-bay ads?

eBay has now known for years that their "Pre-Approved" only bidder auctions are 99% scams, yet they still allow them. I'm waiting for the big class action law suit to come along and drop eBay to it's knees for knowing this fact for years, yet doing nothing about it. They are knowingly providing a conduit for fraud and it has been brought to their attention thousands of times. As long as they can collect listing fees, they couldn't possibly care less.

Oh, stop knocking E-Bay. Just last week I got a letter from them warning that my account would be closed if I didn't update my account info... I tried to comply but then I remembered... I don't have an account. I've been waiting for all the money I'll be recieving for helping the Nicaraugan royal family steal-
ER, remove their country's funds by transfering it into my savings account.

Seriously though, it's unfortunate there is always someone out there trying to make an easy buck at another's expense.

I think the "E" in E-Bay means

...and there's always someone looking for a 'deal that's too good to be true'. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Isn't it a beautiful thing when the 'perfect' seller and the 'perfect' buyer are connected? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

You received no letter from eBay.

It's funny how a few bad apples (scams) create the illusion that eBay is a horrible company. Should we bash TBN because of a few members that post inappropriate things from time-to-time before they are discovered by the mods?

Successful companies frquently bashed by TBN members:

- eBay
- Home Depot
- Wal*Mart
- Microsoft

I guess Google will be joining the list soon.
