What's the best way to control Onions in Winter Wheat?

I got a late start at planting our wheat last year, late November it came up good an is growing great. I have prob have 2-3 acres that I have a lot of wild onions growing, not bad out of 26 acres but wanted to know what would be best to spray them with, I am thing 24 D ? Would that be the recommendation ?
