Aftermarket engine/trans/air filters for Branson/TYM?

When I see any mention of purchasing filters on this list, it is always about purchasing them from the dealer. I don't have a local dealer.

Are aftermarket filters available for Branson/TYM? I assume that they are, but have I've never read about them on this list.

Hey Phantom, I have the RK37 which is made by TYM. All the original filters had TYM markings so rather than drive a 40 mile round trip to the dealer I get my filters from my local moms and pops auto parts store. They were able to cross all the TYM filters I've needed so far to WIX numbers. They also can get fliters by Baldwin.

For the 4 digit models, you want to keep at least the hydraulic filter OEM. The others are fine using aftermarket.

Some aftermarket hydraulic filters are known to be too restrictive, causing the pumps to starve for oil and eventually cause damage. The WIX one is known for that.

That being said, the Mann WD 10007 and Baldwin BT372-10 have been working good. I ran the Baldwin on mine, no issues at all with over 250 hours on it.

I had not heard that concerning the WIX filters ptsg, Thanks for the heads up. I can have them get Baldwin for me next time I do a change on the hydraulics.

My info on that post was pretty much dedicated to the 15 and 20 series (4 digit former Branson models), as those use a filter on the suction side of the hydraulic pumps.

I believe the 3 digit TYM has different setups depending on the models. Some use a strainer, others may use a filter as well but I'm not entirely sure.
