what's involved in a 50 hr service?

I now have 47 hours on my CK25. I'd like to do the 50 hour service myself, but want to make sure I don't miss something.
Does anyone have a checklist of what's required along with the types of fluids and filters to be changed?
Would it be worthwhile to buy a service manual to go along with the owners manual? I've heard the service manual isn't very good.

I believe that would be both hydro and trans filters, Oil filter and check fuel bowl. Of course oil and trans fluid as well. I would also hit all the grease fittings. Did I miss anything??

My dealer told me to change every fluid. He said this to me, then told me where I could get the cheapest cost of hydro fluid, gear oil, etc and it wasn't at his shop.

The rationale is, why take a chance? New parts, new machine, probably lots of junk in there. I like to think of it as peace of mind.

I am almost at the 50hr mark on the new DK, and I will do all filters, all fittings, oil, grease, and gear oil. The owner's manual isn't all that bad at describing what can be done, and where to drain things at.

Oh, don't forget to keep the receipts and a log of work done. Comes in handy if there is ever a dispute down the road. Lesson learned with another tractor company.

Hey Sam, On page 9-2 & 9-3 in the maintenance section of my CK 25 owners manual is a service intervals check list. It pretty much lines out what needs to be done at each hour interval through 800 hrs. If you don't have a manual let me know and I will scan that section and email it to ya. Good luck, Craig
