Whats a NH 1920 Worth?

Any thoughts on the worth of this tractor?
4x4 tractor with 1200 hours and NH FEL/ BH. The seller has stored out of the weather and reports that it is in excellent shape. I'm afraid that may be too many hours but may give it a look. Does this tractor have a mid PTO?

According to my old Ford brochure (1993), a mid PTO is not available on the 1920. 1200 hours isn't bad for these machines. I sold a 1720 with 1260 hours and it ran clean and quiet. One story I heard was that the 20 series will run 5000 hours before needing to be overhauled. A lot has to do with maintenance, previous owner treatment and inside storage is a big plus. I would look closely at the tractor if it is a 3 pt backhoe.

Uh... you are joking there right? 1000 hrs is just good broke in. i had a NH 1920, and bought it with 720 hours on it.. ran better than the brand new 0 hour TC boomers on the NH lot is sat next too. 1200 well mantained hours is not a big deal. I'd hate to think about how many thousand hours are on my 1975 ford 5000 that start's right up. I also have a NH 7610s.. about 800+ hours on it.. Paint is the only thing worn on it yet ( and front tires.. )...

It's kinda funny hearing people fretting over 1thousand hrs, to a guy that collects antique equipment from the 40's, 50's, and 60's.. etc. My 660 and NAA had 2000 - 2500 hrs or so on their 'broke' proof meters when i got them... and those are gassers...

What I neglegected in the original post was the asking price of $20,000. I was afraid that this may be too many hours at that price. What would a NH collector such as yourself offer ?(I know its not old enough to be a classic)

I looked at this tractor this evening and it is a gem, garage kept for its life. It also has a canopy 12x12 SS transmission but still believe $20,00 is too much /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The local NH dealer has one on the lot with 2600 hours for $12,900. The link below is to their used equipment page. Scroll down and you will see the 1920 and there is a picture. It looks in pretty good shape. For $20,000 you could almost buy a new boomer with a warranty.

I paid 9500$ for mine, 12x4 tranny, 4wd, 80% fronts, 100% rears, 95% paint. I added a canopy for about 250$ and dealer installed it. Had 7xx hours on the chassie,a nd about 4 hrs on a rebuilt engine.. I think the laoder, if new might add another 2k$.. or 3k$ if you had to buy it.. And the tranny shuttle option.. what? 500$ value? BH might add 2-3k used.. 4k new.. depending on style.

I'd say the guy is about 7000$ TOO high. I'm guessing the tractor may have cost 20000$ new, with BH and laoder.

Run.. don't walk away..

For that money you could get a tc 30 with laoder, backhoe.. new with warranty.. and maybee some change left over for a 20,000.00$ bill.
