What\'s a FarmPro Tractor?????

I saw an advertisment for FarmPro tractors recently and was wondering if anyone has ever heard of them or owns one that they can comment on?????

Are you sure the tractor brand was FarmPro? I sure don't know, but thought FarmPro was a pig raising system and wonder if it's just a tractor, of whatever brand, that a pig farmer used.

Farm Pro is what Homier's Traveling Tool tent show calls their low spec Chinese tractors. Check the Chinese board for Homier Farm Pro,and the Buying/Pricing board Jinma clone at tent tool sale. They sound like a real dog & pony show type of outfit when it comes to tractor sales.

Woodbeef, thanks a bunch for the information. I'll have to check it out just for the heck of it. I was just curious, since I've never heard of the tractor. The advertised price was something like $2,999.00 for a 20 or 23 hp farm tractor. Not sure if the pig is thrown in or extra

I just found the FarmPro tractor ad. Here's the scoop ----------

I recently saw an ad for a 4 day special sale put on by Homier Premier Mobile Merchants at the National Guard Armory in Ocala, Florida. They offered many tools and other items for sale at what looked like great prices.
A couple of the items offered for sale were tractors, a 20 hp and a 25 hp, both diesel. The 20 hp had the following: 2wd, 2cyl., water cooled 4 stroke diesel engine, 540 and 720 RPM PTO, 3 point category 0 hitch, canopy, oil pressure and fuel gauges, hour meter and amp meter, 6 month parts and labor warranty, ag. tires. this unit was $2999.00. The 25 hp added 4wd, 2 stage clutch, power steering, 3 point category 1 hitch, price advertised was $5999.00. Ad didn't say anything about whether it was assembled or not.
I don't know much about tractors, but I'm sure there are many long time tractor users who have heard about these tractors and can give their opinions. Homier had a website which I couldn't access for some reason---- www.Homier.com

OK, Jim, I was able to access their web site with no problem, but never did find the tractors there. Homier travels all over the country with 18-wheelers and sets up those "sales". They came to our little county seat town once a year for a 2-day sale. And yes, their prices are cheap and so are their products! That's not to say that you can't get some bargains because you can, but you need to know what you're getting. One of the first things I bought from them was a 6" bench grinder. It worked for 2 days before quitting, and I eventually got most of my money back (they never did explain why they shorted me $7), but I also bought a "reconditioned" Campbell-Hausfeld 18 gauge brad gun, for about half the price of a new one, that's worked perfectly now for several years. I bought a few hand tools that worked fine and some that were absolutely worthless when I got them home. I bought a 4" vise to mount on a workbench and it was still working as good as new when I sold it 7 years later (and it was used a lot!), but my brother bought one just like it and the housing broke the first time he used it and it had to go into the scrap metal pile. That tractor price sounds great, but what kind of warranty will it have, will they honor it, can you get parts for it, etc. Good luck with your shopping.

That doesn't sound like the type of outfit I'd like to deal with at all. I have a local dealer I'll be working with here in Florida and hopefully I'll get a quality tractor from him in the near future. As I mentioned, I was just curious as to what a FarmPro tractor was.

Check out the thread "jinma clone at local tool/tent sale' under "Buying/Pricing" in the main index.

They are Jinma tractors and are good machines despite who is selling them.

Hi.

I started the thread..jinma at local tool sale.

I went and looked at them.. was fairly impressed.

One thing though... the tractors are ok.. the help at homier/farmpro are idiots though.. I had to show them how to use the high/low on the tranny.. but nonetheless.. decent tractors.

Oh als, the units I looked at had already been changed over to cat 1 .. looks like the ends of the lower lift arms were cut off with a smoke wrench, and the cat 1 ends added. ( Course.. that was what I was going to do if I bought one.. so.. looked ok to me).

Heck.. every tractor owner needs the basic tractor tools.... torch, sledge hammer, cheater pipe, pry bar... right?

I learned that they hire a lot of local help for their sales. Maybe you got one of the "go-fers" minding the tractors that day.

Homier is in town and are advertising their tractors in the flyer. I'm gonna' stop over some night and have a look.

It would be nice if the tractor rang up for 30% off the listed price like everything else. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

I wouldn't doubt it. This guy sounded as if he was reciting the one page ( how to sell a tractor ) manual they passed around to the new help.

Most importantly, the tractor looked at least passible. There were a few QC issues.. but no life / death deal breakers.

For instance, the electronics are huddled together in an open cluster under the hood mounted on a fairly flimsy backing panel. I see that vibrating loose and needing stabilization about half way through bushhogging my pasture.

But again.. like I said.. that is a minor minor issue...
I wouldn't be scared to buy a jinma tractor now that I have ridden one... I would want a manual, and a on paper address of where to order parts from though.

They are Jinma tractors,configured as cheap as possible,Go for a Jinma from a Jinma dealer,good machine for the money,we order them as loaded as possible,I sold a loader assembly to a customer who bought a farmpro from Homer which we found out was ordered from the factory with a oversized battery box .,so the loader mounts had to be modified to fit ,I wont ask why they ordered them that way unless they wanted to be sure bolt on loaders can only be bought from them to increase the $$$

I visited the Homier show last week. They had an 8 page flyer in the paper that included tractors but when I got to the show (the 2nd day of the 3 day event) they were still setting up and only had about 100 item set out for sale. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

No tractors and no one to ask questions. Oh well maybe next time they come to town.
