Local dealer in Fairbanks, AK has a Kubota L47 Tractor Loader Backhoe that I'm thinking about. It's sat on their lot for 3 years and has 5.5 hours on it. Sales guy says everyone buys the mini excavators instead. This TLB would suit my needs just fine, although not as convenient as the mini ex, but then I'd have buy a skid steer as well. Really all I will be doing is screwing around on my property. Sales guy said normal price was around 63k but mentioned 57k without being asked.

What do you guys think would be a reasonable offer and are there any services I should request the dealer to perform on their dime since it sat for 3 years? They claim to have started it and moved it around once a month.

I'll also be buying a PTO mower, grapple, and a set of forks.

Only intending to use the PTO for a brush mower or perhaps a tiller for a 1/2 acre sized garden. Mostly want it for the excavator and bucket, but buying a mini x and skid steer + all the attachments would put me over budget

The L47 is a really hard working piece of equipment. Based on the hours usage only, the 57k is a reasonably price. I would ask for all new filters and fluids at dealer cost, just for piece of mind.

1. oil filter + oil change
2. HST filter + Hydraulic fluid change
3. Hydraulic filter change
4. Replace radiator fluids

Purchase fuel filter + air filter as future replacement.
Check all the fluids yourself before first startup.
Make sure your factory warranty is fully valid.

That’s over 10k more than I paid for my 500 hour M59 and mine had 3rd function hydraulics, hydraulic thumb, and 3 rear remotes.

What can a dealer depreciate equipment on his lot at. If it's 10%/year then your down to 46K give or take after 3 years.

Just get a Track Skid Steer with a backhoe attachment. I had a CAT 286 with a Cat backhoe and a lot of attachments and I never missed having a tractor. That set up is the Victorinox of tractors.
Skid steer will do everything a tractor will do but flow fields. If fact because of it's maneuverability, lifting capacity, attachments for me it did MORE than the tractor.

I would switch attachments a dozen times a day never leaving the cab. Pul up drop and attachment with a switch, pull up to the next attachment hook up and again throw the switch and off you go. That would take many minutes and sometimes two people in some cases with the tractor without a quick disconnect bucket attachment.

Give some serious thought to a one all-around vehicle and spend your money that way.

Location, location, location. What is expensive in NH or NC may not be in AK or HI.

I don’t think that sounds like a very good price. The paint must be terribly faded. The tires are now 3 years old, meaning the sidewalls will be cracking a lot sooner than a new tractor. All the oil compartments and reservoirs and axles have accumulated a lot of condensation. May have seals which have dried out and will leak prematurely.
I’d want that machine for a lot more under “ sticker “ than you were quoted if it were me.

Agreed. The unit has been sitting which is just another form of abuse. At 5 hours in 3 years the dealer never got the engine warm enough to burn off any accumulated moisture in the system and might have made things worse with multiple short runs.

The unit is now costing the dealer to sit there on his lot as he now has to make payments on it. Id bargain hard with cash and be prepared to walk away. If the dealer is hurting for business and is ready to drop his shorts you might get a great deal. If not, go buy the machine you really want and let someone else buy this bag of kittens.
