what year tier 4?

i'm looking to get a 100 hp utility tractor and wonder what year the tier4 came into play? I'd like to find a used tier3 machine but dont know what year/models that would be. i'm looking at the equiv of a 5100e.

Massey makes a 100hp utility tractor without DPF I was told. I think there are others also. Deere, Kubota and NH have DPF on new models.

Tier 4 became manditory for every tractor manufacture by a certain date required by the federal goverment. This is the future and I have not heard of any mass recalls on the new engines from any of the manufactures

right. i guess more to be more specific, i'm looking at what is the last tier3 john deere 100 hp utility tractor? wasn't sure when they went to tier 4.
