What year is my tractor?

How does this tractor year deal work?
When you say you have a 20XX, how do you know?
Mine is a tier III, but new out of the crate, DK45SE HST Cab, Does that make it a 2013 because it was just purchased?

I want to update my sig, but I don't know what to call it.

Tractors don't have model years like cars. They have specific models and year of manufacture. Within any specific model production configuration changes may be made so you need to use your whole serial number to order some replacement parts. But the east part is to identify the year of manufacture from the first digit of your serial number. See this:

Thankyou, The first letter is M in my serial number, so that would make it a 2013 manufacture date.

Thank you, mine is an L so 2012 I was kind of a little upset as it said 2008 on the ROPS and kind of had me thinking I was sold an old old for new. Not that it really matters but when we pay what we do for these it is nice to get a recent year manufacture not something that has been on the lot for years. Unless of course the price is discounted accordingly.
