In that case would you consider selling the car hauler and use the dump trailer for everything? That would reduce your costs even more and might make more sense than a tractor.

The trouble is that I use the carhauler for hauling vehicles and lumber. It's length is ideal too.

If/when I get one, this is the kind of dump trailer I'd like to get, although it may or may not be this exact brand or model. Shown is a 6x12 dump trailer with a GVWR of 10,000 pounds.
