So my new truck has a plow mount and a PTI wiring plug. I am wondering what plow type I need for this mount?

It's a 2005 Ford F350 Super Duty Diesel 4x4 dump.

Please see pics. Thanks

I beleive those are Fisher mounts. The plug is for the block heater and has nothing to do with the plow.

If you look behind the grill, you may find the wiring, but probably not, since thw original owner probably removed that and just left the frame mounts.

Thanks for that...

Found this statement on one manual- To ensure optimum cold weather starting performance, and improve cabin heating, the 120 volt engine block heater should be used during any cold weather operation. The engine block heater is required when the vehicle is to be started at temperatures below -10F (-23C).

Thanks because if you didn't say that I wouldn't have known. This beats finding out the hard way

The "loops" as you have labeled them are the factory tow hooks(in this case rings) and have nothing to do with the plow setup.

Well yes those loops are tow hooks. However the push pins below are definitely for a Fisher plow. Suggest going to a Fisher dealer to have the electronics checked out. That is assuming that the control module has not been removed. Then you could look for a used plow. If the control module and cables were removed, then new items would have to be installed under the hood.

Well sparc was right to point out that those were tow hooks.

OP thought they were part of the plow package (I believe). He also didn't know that was his block heater, so he must be very new to trucks and has ALOT to learn.

Nothing wrong with that of course, we all have to start somewhere, just pointing out the facts. This would be the place to learn that's for sure, wish I had something like TBN when I was starting out :)

NAH--- I was almost 100% positive the hooks weren't part of the plow. I included them in the pic because they are right there- and I might as well be thorough when posting pics.

I was also about 65% sure it was a fisher plow mount too. I have a Western 7.5' cable joystick plow I installed on my Ram. But I am NOT a plow pro by no means. It's always a good idea to ask around before price-searching.

As far as the block heater- I thought it might be plow wiring until I took off the cap and saw a 110 plug. But I did not know it was a block heater. This is my first diesel, besides a Kubota I had for a short time period.
