Tractor Sizing What tractor is right for me?

My primary use is mowing 6 plus acres. I have snow to plow can get up to 3 feet at times and rocks some large to move around the property. I occationally have fallen trees to pull, and of course the halloween hayrides for the neighborhood kids.

I currently have a B-7500 feel like I want something bigger notice I said want :thumbsup:not necessarily need.

Any of you guys out there mow with a machine in the L3400 or larger size?
How does it do any problems with rutting up the yard, I do not have a golf course yard mostly just field grass.

There are several 3400/3700/3800, not to mention the GL30/40 in that size including Agrantina, Bswope, Beppington, KuOa and others all seem to be really happy with them. I am sure you will get some good responses and if not do a "search" with L3400 and you will pull up a lot of old threads.

I went from B7500DT to L3400HST, like night and day, in capabilitys..especially loader and push power, I didnt finish mow with either, just a rotary cutter, only real difference here is the L3400 has a hydro, so just more convienant to use. and the cutter stays running when you change direction, instead of running down as you swapped gears on the B7500. Not much difference in ground pressure I can tell, as they both had r4's and of course the L3400 tires are wider so I think it distributes the weight about the same. Another thing, you sit more "on" the B7500 and more "in" the L3400, just due to to the relative size of the two tractors. Wasn't a big deal to me, but the wife hated to drive the B7500, due to feeling uneasy on it and she doesn't mind the L3400.

I mowed with a B7800 and a L3240HST using a Landpride 6' Rear Finish Mower and neither one damaged my yard. The L was a Grand and it was Grand. I didn't appreciate it on my hill side property but it was the greatest on flat land. Also moved some big rocks with it.
