What to do with all the lost luggage?

Southwest Airlines came up with a novel idea so all the lost luggage could be used for a piece of terminal art.

I do on call courier work for a company that delivers lost luggage from the airlines to the customer; very profitable line of work.

For Southwest’s recent debacle, evidently they are using FedEx to deliver the bags to the owners.

I've flown out of there a lot (SMF) starting back when Southwest was Pacific Southwest Airlines. I still use PSA luggage tags with my business card embossed in plastic, a PSA freebe back then.

That luggage 'art' was controversial when it was put up, long ago. Nobody wants to stare at beatup lost luggage while waiting seemingly endlessly for the carousel to start!

I read yesterday of some kind soul killing time waiting for a flight and reading the tags on the rows of luggage left behind in some terminal, texting the owners to tell them where their bag is.

Summary - streets full of semis waiting to unload mail at a China main mail center, no space left indoors or in a parking lot to receive it. One trucker tossing his mailbags over the fence onto the mountain of bags in the parking lot.

I worked with a fella that delivered late/lost luggage in the evening and weekends..
He said he made 100.00 a bag + tips.!!!
