What to do about broken lawn tractor?

Hi everyone,
This is my first post to TBN and I need some help with my new cub cadet. About a month ago we bought a cub cadet lawn tractor from home depot to mow about 1 acre of flat grass. The 4th time using the tractor I went to step on the brake to put it in park and the tractor accelerated, I can now no longer start the tractor because when press the brake pedal it moves the gas pedal forwards as well. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone has advice as to what I should do? I have heard that the tractors you buy at home depot are knoc offs so should I go through them or cub cadet?

First look under the tractor to see if a stick or debris has got caught in the linkages.

If not, then call HD to find out where they want you to take the tractor for repair under their warranty. :licking:
