What product are you using for skid steer tire sealant....

Greeting folks,
For many years I used an old Bobcat/Melrose 610. I had replaced the old skinny tires with the wide ones. Knowing I would be working around building sites I opted to have the new tires foam loaded by the tire dealer.....**** glad I did....from that day to this I NEVER had a flat again.....I recently sold the old 610. It was like seeing a family member going down the road.....Anyway, I obtained a Bobcat 642 as a replacement....It seems no one close to where I live now does the foam filling.... My question is what modern day tire sealant products are available and which ones really work as advertised..? Just because a product is out there does not mean it is any good.....Looking forward to what you guys think....Thanks.

I bought 3 buckets of this:

TRC6 Texas Refinery Tire Sealant - 6 Gal Container

Put 1 bucket in each rear tire and split 1 bucket between the 2 front tires. Has worked well so far.

i havent had good luck with sealants, gave up on them - i use solid tires when jobs are questionable i have R4 and Asphalt tires and then tracks to go over them as required - i do ok with it in my tractor tires and i use berrymans

can't you just ship the tires to either the place you trust, and have used before, or another place more local, and have the foam put in the tires?.. that would be the best option, unless you want to go with steel wheels, like they use in garbage dumps,(can't get a flat with those)!..

I use the John Deere tire sealant. Mainly because everyone cries so bad when you have them work on tires with sealant in them. Now I tell them that their boss sold it to me.
The JD stuff is good for the life of the tire, and protects the rim from corrosion, dwhereas the Slime folks tell you you have to change it out every few years or it will corrode the rims.

I bought my 3rd skid loader about 5 years ago. The first thing I did was to take it to the tire store and buy 4 new heavy duty tires for it and I had them foamed. I do a lot of grubbing in mesquite pastures and some light demolition (you know, the kind with lots of nails). I was sick and tired of fixing flats on my Skid. I never had another flat since I foamed the tires. I ripped a big chunk of tread out of those tires a few years ago grubbing mesquites out of rocks. Didn’t matter, tires keep on trucking (or grubbing):cool2:
