I have been looking on e Bay and other places for used Kubota equipment and have found some items such as a snow blower. I paid about 50% of list for the snowblower and felt that was a good deal. I recently found another item, and the seller wants $1000 for an item that Tractorsmart will sell for $1325 and my local dealer wants $1400 plus 5% tax. The item is like new, but out of warranty. What do others feel is a fair price for used equipment given the condition as described. I did see a like new 60" mower deck on e Bay this weekend that didn't sell and the opening bid was about 50% of new and there was no reserve. One problem is that all these things are always a 4 - 5 hour drive from here, so transportation cost are also involved. In the case of this one item that I am considering, the transportation costs are $150, so the final cost would be $1150 for an item that I can purchase locally for $1470. To me, a $320 savings isn't enough savings on a $1400 item to gamble without a warranty. Agree or disagree??????
