What JD models comparable to Kubota L series?

What are the comparable JD models similar to Kubota's L2800/L3400 economy tractors? Are the JD models competitively priced? Thanks.

I was looking at the same thing recently. It seems that the only comparable Deeres are the 3000 series. But the 3000 series seems to have more bells and whistles and significantly higher prices. Both the Kubotas and Deeres seem to be great though.

Take a look at the JD 790(3005),3203, 990, and 4105. These are the JD gear, and hydrostatic tractors respectively that most closely compare with the Kubota L's.

I think that boils down to dealer....When I was shopping a month or so ago, the initial quotes came in at right about the same prices... less then $500.00 Difference between the two.

But exactly which models were you comparing? I compared a Kubota L2800 HST to a Deere 3120 HST and the 3120 was thousands more. Not only that, but the 3120 had 1.5 less pto hp than the L2800. I understand the 3120 might have a few more bells and whistles, but it seems that green paint costs a lot more

I didn't even bother looking at the Deere 3203 because of lack of cruise control and from what I understand it can't take a backhoe attachment.
Again, I think both companies make great tractors, but I didn't find the Deeres to be as competitively priced as the Kubotas.

I was comparing a 3540 Cab to a 3520 Cab.
IMO the two tractors you were comparing werent even in the same league...Apples & Oranges

The Deere 3x20 compares to the 3x40 Kubotas...As ChuckInNH mentioned, you might want to check out the budget Deere's, I suspect those would be much closer in pricing.

I did this same thing. I felt the 3xxx JD was inbetween the L series and the grand L series. The size of the L, with specs closer to the Grand. Size and other factors were an issue for me so I chose the deere as the grand was too big.
