I have recently purchased a used 2015 Kubota L4760 HSTC. I love the thing. It's a bit different than my old trusted L3800! I'm still trying to learn the hydraulics on it. I can't find / don't know what I'm looking at to locate the return to tank or a power beyond port. Anyway, the tractor had this on it (see pictures). Please follow the hose to see where it goes. I'm not sure what it is. I am thinking it's a valve to make a closed circuit? Any help to what it is, how to use it, and what to use it with would be a great help! Thanks!!

If you could put those pics in a draw program and circle what you are asking about it would be a lot easier to help.

I am going to make an educated guess that what you have is a loader soft drive.

It is an accumulator which acts like a shock absorber for a loader's arms. It takes the bounce out of the arms when traveling on rough ground.

Kubota makes them as a kit for their loaders but they are pricey. After market ones exist and can be mounted just about anywhere.

The same sort of device is used on long spray boom arms to steady the boom.

If you explain more about what you are trying to accomplish with a power beyond and return to tank more advice can be provided

Thanks Dave! So I take it with the valve handle on the right of the "absorber" (lack of better term), I can adjust the bounce?

I believe I finally found the power beyond and the return to tank by tracking the lines to under the seat. I don't really have any plans yet......I just like to know how hoses run just in case. It's always easier knowing how lines run rather than looking for how they run when oil is dripping in your face.

Trace the line from the rear device and see if it mates with a loader arm hose.

If I am right, the valve is just an ON or OFF selector for this feature not an adjuster.

The accumulator may also be for the 3 pt, specially considering that that tractor has external lift cylinders, which would make it very easy to plumb. It's nice to absorb the shock in the back when roading the tractor. Usually the ones for the loader, are mounted in the loader itself.

The valve is just On and Off, like Dave said.

Although it's optional when buying, it's actually a common feature in European tractors. I know for sure that Antonio Carraro offers this, along with down pressure kit for the 3 pt.

My Kubota loader accumulators are located inside the torque tube with the loader (big open pipe that runs under the belly of the tractor). I cant see everything clearly, but I think its tied to the 3 point hitch. Never saw one on a Kubota 3 point.
Did the tractor come from overseas?

It definitely looks like an accumulator how it's plumbed in will determine its function,
from the pictures I would be tempted to say it's for the 3 point but without tracing the lines out couldn't say.
Also most of those need a Nitrogen charge on the dry side of the diaphragm to work properly,
that should be a couple of thousand psi so just beware when working on it.

Yep, I'm thinking it functions on the 3pt rather than the FEL.

Europeans use their tractors much differently than we do here. Very common to "road" a tractor in Europe. Where many tractors here are rarely on the road and if so very short distance.
