What is the bigger green metal line with a lot of bends? Is this a transmission lube line? Pressurized? Or a return line (from steering and brakes)?
This line connects 3 points: 1) the rear end (shown), 2)the steering box and 3) the brake pedal controller (via a hose with clamp fittings).
There appears to be another equivalent line on the other side of the transmission that runs from (only) the brake pedal controller also.
The steering box first receives pressure from the hydraulic pump.
I don’t know if I should replace this line myself, get a third party mechanic to, or just “nudge” it away from the MFWD linkage that it’s interfering with.
How much danger does the bend (at the bottom of the loop) do? Depends on how bad the crimp is I suppose..
What would you do?
