I just purchased a 920 zero turn mower. it was suppose to be a 26 hp mower, but when it came in the decal on motor said 23.5 hp.all info i looked at and the spec. sheet the dealer
quoted price off of also said 26 hp. I end up buying it anyway since he had ordered it for me, but got him to reduce price 300.00. did jd have to lower hp because they were not
producing the hp? seems like misrepresentation on john deere's part. even their brochures
state a higher hp . any ideas from you guys. does anybody know what is going on?
thanks

There is a HP disclaimer in the brochure. The same engines are in the tractors. The HP is listed the same way

Adding a turbo will solve the problem.....:D

Like most dealers, Your dealer probably has old brochures they are handing out. Looks like the newer machine is listed at 23.5 hp in the new brochure thats been out for a while now. Good for you for making them take some money off. Heres the new brochure specs

Kawasaki rates their hp numbers differently now. The brochures and stuff haven't caught up yet. Like on my 910a my motor is 22 but te new ones are rated at 20hp now I think.
