What is the HP of a Kubota B7100

Hi,

I am seeing numerous B7100 (some HST) that say the HP is 20. But according to tractordata, it's 16. Is there a 20HP b7100 out there? Or are these sellers just misinformed?

Kubota B7100 is a 16 hp diesel. I owned one and had the owners manual showing all the specs.

Thanks. A side question to this- could this mower handle a 4 foot mower? I read that every foot of mower should have 4 HP at the PTO. This would mean that 16HP at the PTO would be needed to run a 4 foot cutter. Or am I wrong on this?

I like these tractors, but need to run a 4 foot mower, so I was looking for a PTO with 16HP. TIA.

It's a little week for a 4 foot mower if your grass gets overgrown at all. Try to find the next size up Kubota, they had 18hp, or maybe 20hp

I have been mowing 3.5 acres of grass and assorted weeds with my 1982 B7100HST with a 60" MMM since I got it new. It is not a combination that you can zip through high grass at top speed, but it definitely gets the job done. Just got back from a 2.5 week trip and mowed the 8" plus grass in two cuts a day apart. First was with mower at highest setting, second was normal cut. I use standard after market blades that I regrind a couple of times a season to keep them sort of sharp.

Running a 48" mower should be no problem at all.
