What is the best way to lube shipping container door hinges?

That's what I've considered doing on mine. Also the latch pivot straps get gummed up and become hard to move the handles when opening and closing. That's more troublesome to me than the hinges. I've tried PB blaster and liquid lube. It seems to help for a short time and then things start binding again.

Hing lub is an on going problem with containers. Some builders even used stainless steel pins. When the SS pins inside of steel hinges get wet from salt water offshore or at the docks it's a major pain to free them up.
Lock rods are also a lot of trouble to keep free. Salt water is like battery acid for those who have never dealt with it and corrosion.
A graphite spray is probably the best to use.

You don't say where you are located at, but if you happen to be in Canada or, a few of the northern states, look for a product called Rust Check. A few years back, at work, we had an outdoors cabinet at a 72,000V breaker that used a heavy duty piano hinge on the door. Over the decades this hinge had started to seize until it bending the door
when you opened it, to the point I was worried about the door breaking! Mind you, this was a 16 gauge cabinet! I brought a can of Rust Check from home one day and gave the hinge a shot. Soon it was swinging free as new. I don't know how long that one treatment lasted, since I retired two years after and it was still working just fine then.
