What is the best tractor for around $10,000

We bought a small 40 acre farm last year in SC. I bought an 8N Ford to start things off in order to maintain the place. Now I am wanting to move up a notch.

Here is my situation. Most of my land is horse pasture which I keep bush hogged, but I do plant about 10 acres for deer food plots. I was thinking of something around the 35 hp range, preferably with ROP and new as possible as my mechanical abilities could fit into a micro size thimble. I am open to almost any brand, but not grey market tractors. A close relative sells Century tractors, my only hesitation with him is that he stays real busy and I have found serious delays getting him to work on my 8N, plus I doubt that I can even get a new tractor for around 10K. I do have all the necessary implements, just need a bigger tractor. By the way, four wheel drive would be a great option. Thanks!!!

Um .. 45HP, 4WD, pasture maint., around 10K, no implements...

Not possible unless you can stand a used unit with more than 2000 hours on it or would re-consider grey or dubious chinese model.

Do you want a front end loader for the tractor too? I don't think you are going to find much in the way of a new tractor and loader for 10,000.

35HP. 4wd for $10,000 is going to be hard to find, most assuradly not new.don't want to be discouraging, but need to look around and see what is out there in the price range u mentioned.

I 2nd bills recogmendation, also look to the chinexe forum for more info. gear drives but then you will not even find a used hst tractor in that range for that price.

I appreciate you squaring me away on the new price. What is a realistic price then for a new tractor? Or, if not new, what would be a good type of used tractor to look for? As you can tell I need to do a lot of shopping because I am more out of the loop than I thought.

Here is a tractor dealer that lists some pretty good discount prices on the Branson tractor, which is a near-clone of the Century. Should give you an idea on pricing for 2nd tier tractors - 1st tier being JD, NH & Kubota (& Kioti?). NorTrac would be 3rd tier.
