What is my MF 180 worth?

I just bought a new 1552 that I love. Now I need to sell my old tractor. I have a 1972 Massey Ferguson 180 with approximately 5500 hours on it. The tractor runs great; the only thing wrong with the tractor is the lighting. The electrical needs to be rewired. The tractor comes with a Massey Ferguson front end loader with two buckets. The motor is a 63 horse, 4-cylinder diesel Perkins. What do you think I should ask for it? Thank you for your input.

That age tractor is not in the Trade-In Guides what we use is the Internet ans Sales Data from the Guides to see what they are bringing. I would look at www.machinelocator.com , Used Tractors and Farm Machinery from Fastline , and Used Tractors at TractorHouse.com: John Deere Tractors, used farm tractors and farm equipment, Case IH, New Holland, Agco, Caterpillar. to see what others are asking. You can also get pictures to compare condition because condition on a tractor that age is more important to value.

Massey's sell really good around here. (Central Kentucky) So, prices are at the high end of the scale. Take that into consideration.....

A decent (above average, good rubber) 175 or 180 (Same tractor almost. 180 is a flat deck operator station version of the 175) will sell for around $4500 to $5000 w/o loader. A decent loader adds $1000 to $1500. This time of year is a tough time to be selling that sort of tractor. Wait a couple months and the demand will go up.
