1951 Ferguson
I inherited a 1951 Ferguson TO-20 tractor from my Dad...He was a mechanic and it is in good operational condition with new tires...Can anyone tell me a ball park figure of what it might be worth, please...Happy Thanksgiving, everyone...:confused3:

Around here, I see them advertised for around $2,500 in much rougher condition than yours. If that was mine, I'd keep it. But if I was going to sell it, I'd list it for $5,000 and just see if I got any takers. You can (and probably will have to) go down in price, but you can never go up once someone says "I'll take it."

I sold mine a few yrs ago for 2500 with 4ft cutter. It was in rough shape. Problem is, most people want a 4wd and a loader these days. There may be someone out there that just wants an old tractor though. Good luck !

I'd say at least $3k, assuming, brakes, hydraulics, PTO are functioning.

There's lots of people around who don't want to spend lots of money on a tractor, and old ones like that are great options. Provided, that is, that they either grew up on, or have been taught how to use something like that. They didn't have user safety in mind back then the way we do now. No rops, no safety switches, etc. Easy to get hurt if you don't know what you're doing.

ditto.

as a tractor they are worth in the 2-3k range.

as a restored tractor, no doubt ther eis at least 5000$ work in there ( or more ).

as a tractor from dad, I likely wouldn't sell it.. but if i did.. it would be sold for $parade queen$ money, if it is in fact running and in as good a condition as it looks to be.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that too. If it were my dad's tractor, I'd be hard pressed to sell it for $3000.

I would try to find a way to keep it, being a family heirloom. If you are city folk, I can understand you not being able to keep it. If that was the case, there must be some relative that would be interested in it. They are more cool than they are valuable. Most small acreage people want a 4WD with loader. I like to keep a dedicated pasture trimmer tractor around without a loader on it, but not everyone does. Yours is in very good condition. The tires alone are worth some money.

These old tractors don't bring what they used too. Like everyone has said people want 4WD and a Loader. The subcompact tractors really hurt the old tractor market. I'd say that tractor is would bring around $2,200 here. Remember start your price out a little high, you can always come down but you can't go back up.
