What is everyone paying for steel these days?

Went to the local steel supplier today for some 2" X 1/4" and 3" X 1/4" bar stock.
Bought 20 feet of each size, and the material cost was $75.00 or $.88/lb.

Not every store likes DIY. One I use does and they have a huge drop rack and charge the new rate but the upside is huge selection and can buy shorts. I rarely buy much anymore, when I do get full pieces of common, I buy custom sizes when I need and few strips and small angles that are common.
You guys can have the bed frames. I scrap them and don't put on the shelf. I hate building something I cant go back and drill or screw to. Not worth it. Crap gets mixed it with common steel and I don't want it. Totally unpredictable and unreliable to weld.

I collect. I found a big chunk of 3x3 angle the other day really new must have come off a truck. 6 ft for picking it up. I "file" it, cut it in to manageable stock and have some shelves and even old van body to keep some in the junkyard out of the weather. I rarely have to bend/form a lot, mostly cut and drill and a weld or 2.
