Hello, wondering what a 2002 M9000 with 1200hrs in good condition is worth? No cab.

Gary:

That is an '02 or possibly an '03.

In '04, Kubota relocated the remotes to front to rear actuation for lever placement. The top link is missing, the loader bucket isn't QD and the most important thing, the rear wheel are discs not cast centers. Cast center wheels are almost a must on an M9 with an FEL. You don't want to overpower the tractor with the loader sitting that high. My '06 has an air ride seat and a much nicer cab (same cab as the new style sloped hood Kubota Kioti look alikes).

For comparison sake, my '06 with the LA1251 loader, 2 sets of remotes R1's cast centers FWA, 540/1000 and 12 x 12 with the Ultra III cab was $45,500 or about 4 smaller Kubota's. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Looks like that tractor is on EBAY and is a 2000. How much would one without a cab cost?

And could you explain alittle more about the difference's in rear wheels?

Your best bet on tractor value would be to either go to a dealer and ask him to look in his NADA tractor book or go to the library and look yourself.

The difference in wheels are the disc wheels on the tractor pictured in the previous post and a cast steel center that the rim bolts to. I believe the cast centers add around 1500 pounds on each side. When you dismount the rim, the center stays on the axle, it's bolted seperately to the axle itself.

If you are going to be trailering and don't need the counterweight you may want to skip the cast centres. They are certainly needed for heavy loader work or you could fill the tires and use an implement on back.

Filled tires on a machine that size are so heavy the service truck with boom is the normal service route when you get a leak or whatnot. I think unloaded tires ride a bit nicer too.

SZ:

The tires on my 1085 Massey are the same size and they are filled. I've never dismounted them, but I imagine if one fell over, it would take the fel on the M9 to right it.

I'd still opt for the cast centers. For one thing, the tire and rim mounts to the center so removal of the tire and rim is relatively easy (i'd still not want to drop it), and because of the power of the loader it would be really easy to loft the rear resulting in an upset. Even with the centers, I can lift one side while prying with the bucket and you know it's off the ground real quick....the tractor has a high Cg.

Besides, the centers take the place of liquid ballast for 90% of the intended uses with the hassle of filling tires. I wished the 5030 had cast centers and finally added my own centers with Olympic weight plates.

99% of Ag tractors come standard with cast centers for traction and Kubota offers the cast centers as a no-charge option. It's a no brainer.
