I need one to leave in my truck. I always need to clean up after a job. I don't want an expensive one because I am always having things roll over on stuff and knobs and plastic pieces have a tough life.
What is a good cheap gas leaf blower?

I purchased a Weedeater brand blower 10+ years ago -- no problems to date. I tried to find it on the Web, but it is apparently no longer produced. This may be the replacement: Amazon.com: Weed Eater FB25 25cc 2 Stroke Gas Powered 170 MPH Blower: Home Improvement.* It looks like it has more plastic parts than my model, but the reviews seem decent.

Well, it's usually said that when it comes to any product, we're looking for 1.) high quality, 2.) easy to use, and 3.) inexpensive.
The old joke says you can pick any two.
That being said, I've had a Craftsman for 7-8 years and it still works as well today as it did when I bought it. Can't remember model # off hand, but it's likely changed since then, anyway. I know several people that swear by the quality of Stihl for everything from leaf blowers to chainsaws, but "Stihl" and "inexpensive" aren't usually used in the same sentence.

I have a couple of electric blowers and they work perfect. One is a Ryobi and one is a Black and Decker.

It's only a single data point, but I have Weedeater I bought 12 or 13 years ago (because it was the cheapest one I could find) and it still works great. The wife bought a B&D electric blower (because she doesn't like engines) and I don't even try to use it anymore. It's so weak I can sweep/rake faster than using the blower.
