What Hydraulic Fluid for a Dynahoe 190?

Well, we've almost got the 2nd Dynahoe up and running...for this one we had to drain the hydraulic fluid out (when we pulled the engine) and it was rather black and dirty, so we're replacing all the filters and the fluid....anyone know what grade / spec hydraulic fluid to toss in this beast?

I have a 140 B and I use DTE-24 mostly because I get it in 55 gallon drums from work when they drain the hydraulic oil out of an injection molding machine. I have had no problems.

On assumption it has torque conv, an AW (anti wear with antifoam agent) class, probably around ISO32 for your winter temps.

It does have a torque converter, but has separate tranny fluid (and separate 90 weight for the gear box as well), so I went with straight hydraulic fluid as it appears to only run the hydraulics and not the drive of the machine, brakes, etc....

You are correct, the torque converter uses Dexron ATF, the transmission rear end, wheel drive/gear reduction all use gear lube and all the hydraulic functions like steering, brake booster, bucket and hoe movement are all regular tractor hydraulic fluid
