What hp is the TA270

Can anyone tell me what the engine and the pto hp is on the iseki TA270?

Well, very few know for sure, but here are the commonly accepted guidelines... in the TA, TS and TL series at least, Iseki used the PTO HP in the model designation.... My TA 210 is 21 HP at the PTO.... a TL 2100 is 21 HP at the PTO, a TS 1910 is 19 HP at the PTO etc., etc.. they then used trailing numbers to sometimes designate 2WD or 4WD but not always....

Anyway, the common logic is you lose about 3-4 HP from the engine to the PTO output measurement ....

So, all this being said the engine HP is probably around 30-31 HP on a TA 270 with PTO at 27 HP... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

When I started selling the greys I was told that 1.2 x the first digits will give you the US hp on most grey tractors. I talked to Buck at EFC and he has put some of the engines from the tractors on gen sets. He could tell by loading them with electric heaters how many hp they had before they lost rpm. He said that the 1.2 figure was very close.
