Approaching my 2 week anniversary with this (my first ever) tractor - and I bought it w/o a manual (still need to order one from dealer).

I've watched countless YT videos from various owners and dealers going over the different controls and functions, and few addressed what it does - and those that do, make conflicting claims.

So, that said, I humbly ask, what does this do?

Just a guess but it looks like a rear differential lock.

Electronic locking lug nuts. Keeps thieves from stealing your wheels

Makes me happy to know I'm not the only one taking wild guesses... One video said locking diff, but there's another knob for that. Another said it has to do with how locked in the hst is - making fine movement easier or harder. I can't tell much difference regardless of position.

Both icons show the same lock symbol, although one has tighter parenthesis.

Looks like a parking brake (brake locked vs. unlocked)

It is a three position switch that changes the HST transmission response rate. How abrupt the trans works in relation to you pushing down on the FWD/REV pedal with your right foot. I think I leave mine in the down position. When you move the pedals, you are only sending a signal to the controller [ mounted on the left side of the firewall behind the dash ] that you request the tractor to move. The controller then moves the tractor ...... and the abruptness of the movement is slightly controlled by this switch. [ Wow, I can not believe that I actually used the word ' abruptness ' in a sentence... :) ] I think when pushed into the bottom position=Least Jerky, mid [ where it is now ]=Normal Jerky, and when the top is pushed all the way in=Most Jerky ..... :) I don't know who thought up the switch icon marking, but I interpret it that the bottom one means something like little lock, since the para's are close to the lock... and the top one means HUGE lock, more lock, or something like that... since the para's are farther away from the lock symbol. Which still sucks, but, that's my take....

Jerry is correct. Not sure why it is sideways

That's it! One of the videos I watched briefly mention this, but the explanation was very unclear. Makes sense if you already understood the concepts. I guess I'll have to practice slowly moving with the switch in all three positions again to see if I can appreciate the differences. If not, I may bring it up with the dealer when I get them to go through my final inspection punch list before my warranty expires in Feb.

Thank you!

Yep, thats it. I was actually going to put a video out shortly showing it in use. You really notice it on a public road and in higher range and speed. 3 position swithc so three settings. in one setting, when going down the road I let up on the hydro pedal and tractor comes to an abrupt stop. The switch in the completely opposite direction and you let off the pedal the tractor comes to a stop more slowly which i prefer so f a car is following me i dont get rear ended. I would rather use the brake pedal to stop so my brake lights come on. but around the property i prefer a quicker stop
