I turned my B3030 transformer this weekend from TLB to lime spreader, gave her a good bath, and then put on my 60" MMM for its first run of the season.
The mower was stored in the garage all winter, nice and dry, pretty stable temperature. When I greased the right hand spindle the grease pushed out a whole bunch of fluid, both on the top of the deck and out the bottom, it was white with the consistency of water. Can anyone guess where that came from? It was enough to take let's say three paper towels to clean up.
The deck was new last October, I mowed maybe 6 times with it and put it away for the winter. I did give it a quick bath before the winter, nothing more than a garden hose with a nossle and I am sure that I greased it after that bath.
In any event, I greased her up good and then ran it for about an hour. Sounded fine and cut like a champ.
