What do I use in ballast box for weight? BX2670

I am new to all of this and will soon be using the loader and pallet forks. I have the factory ballast box but am not sure what to put in it for weight. i was thinking sandbags,but sure would appreciate knowing what others do.

Sand is often used. Sand is wetted with water to adjust total ballast weight. With sand, weight adjustment is easy.

You do not want any form of ballast material that can potentially shift.

You do not want more weight than you need high in the Ballast Box.

Once you determined weight you need from considerable experience, replace sand with concrete if you want.

Let's see. I've got cement blocks, a couple of belgium blocks, 4 old disk drake rotors, a weight from the bottom of a floor lamp, and a few assorted broken bricks. It sure ain't pretty but it works.

I used 8x16" cement blocks from Home Depot. I added 300 lbs for about 10 bucks. You can adjust or remove it quickly.

Ditto here. My experience with a BX2660 showed me that the Kubota Ballast Box did not require all that much counter balance to move rocks bigger than the FEL as well as full loads of gravel. Filling it up with heavy junk allowed me to remove the junk and move the BB around to wherever I decided to park it. My box has 5 years of usage in this manner and I am happy with the result.
