What did a 520H cost new in 93?

I have one and was just wondering, anybody have a guess?

wedgeheaded - I'm not sure about the 1993 520H, but I bought a 1992 520H new in October 1993 for $4,599. List price for the tractor was $5,274 in 1992. I received a $500 discount for the tractor being one model year old. I also received a 48" mmm that listed for $869 included in the $4,599 price. I think list price for the 1993 was about $300 more than list price for the 1992, so the package would have cost me $800 more with a 1993 tractor. Also bought a snowthrower, tiller, wheel weights and chains, and a cart at the same time. Total price with sales tax was $7,003. My son still runs the tractor.

Keep your cooling fins clean! They tend to collect grass trimmings, leaves, seeds, etc. The overtemp sensor only monitors one of the two cylinders. I overheated and spun the valve seat on the unprotected cylinder at 1,000 hours and replaced the engine rather than an expensive rebuild.

I knew they were pricy. My 93 has the 60" deck option with the wide front end. Thanks, this gives me an idea about mine.

RangerLB - I replaced the engine on my 520H with an Onan 10955-LX790-P220G which was manufactured by Linamar. I bought it from Small Engine Warehouse at www.smallwarehouse.com or 1-800-321-6725. The engine cost $1,275 and came with a 2-year warranty. I was very satisfied with Small Engine Warehouse and the replacement engine. My son is still running the replacement engine in the 520H.

I did a quick search of Small Engine Warehouse and did not find this engine, so it might be best to call on the telephone.

Thread's a little dead, but I bought my 1993 520H used in 1996 for $4,200. Had about 125 hours and included a 48" deck, vac bagger set up, 48" snow plow, 42" snow thrower, wheel weights and chains.

Last I looked SEW was selling a 20 horse Honda as the replacement engine for the 520 Onan.
