My Father is in the market for a three point chipper this Spring. He likes DR products, and I think they make some quality stuff. But that thing looks a little weak and not sure if too much HP is a bad thing for them. It will be on the back of a 4720 John Deere. He would like to keep it under three grand. Any input would be appreciated!

I would look at Wallenstein, Valby, or bearcat. Bandit also makes a nice one but most are over your budget. What size material are you wanting to chip? I think a Wallenstein BX 42 runs around $2400.00 and is a great little chipper but is limited to 4" material. I have one that I thought about selling to upgrade to a larger size. Its a great attachment to have. I would stay away from the Chinese stuff on a chipper.
